In Nuuk, the bachelor’s programmes include law, business economics, journalism, nursing, social science, theology and biology. In Sisimiut, Arctic civil engineering and fisheries technology; the two MSc, in cold climate engineering and Arctic mineral resources, are run with Nordic partner universities.

Language
The University of Greenland teaches its programmes in Danish and Greenlandic. A guest student can usually put together about 30 ECTS of courses in English. In Sisimiut, the Arctic Semester and the two MSc are taught in English, the BEng mainly in Danish.

As a rule, the permit must be granted before you enter Greenland.
You apply at a Danish mission or application centre abroad. You must study full time and understand Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, English or German. The permit is granted for the length of the programme, one year at a time.
Getting in
Greenland is part of neither the EU nor Schengen. A Schengen visa does not let you in, and an EU identity card is not enough: travel with your passport.
